Long Thanh Airport Project basically meets the construction schedule

The Notice clearly states that the implementation of the passenger terminal and runway items of Long Thanh Airport has basically met the set schedule. The site clearance and handover of the land area in phase 1 basically meet the requirements.

The Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, the Resolution of the National Assembly, the Decision of the Prime Minister has determined that the Long Thanh Airport project phase 1 will be completed by 2025. With great determination, the work of direction, inspection and supervision must be conducted regularly and continuously.

In order to urgently implement the project to meet the schedule and quality requirements, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh requested that the management must be done in a scientific manner, the implementation process must be made with efforts by the workers, supervisors, the Project Management Board as well as contractors, consultants, the local political system and ministries and sectors to complete the work to meet the set requirements. The relevant units continue to maintain the construction site at the current pace; review, build progress, determine the work, work items on the Gantt Chart for all bidding packages, work items.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh said that the work on site clearance is very difficult, but if the use of the media is increased to mobilize and propagate about the project's goals, meaning and effectiveness, to promote public awareness and promote public relations so that the local people clearly understand then have the consensus and create more favorable conditions in land acquisition and site clearance. The deadline to complete the site clearance is by June 30, 2022.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh affirmed that this is an important national project, the investment in connecting traffic routes is necessary and must be implemented soon. However, traffic routes must go ahead, take into account future developments in terms of increasing the project's scale, regional development and regional connectivity. The Ministry of Transport urgently studies and proposes to expand the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway and the route parallel to this expressway to ensure the connection demand and avoid the traffic congestions.
